Speaker: Molefi Kete Asante, Professor and Chair, Department of Africology and African American Studies, Temple University

Molefi Kete Asante will explore five Africological vectors in the search for agency in the study of African American life. The workshop will concentrate on issues of psychological locations, subject places, cultural elements in urban communities, lexical refinements, and chronological reflections in ethnographic and afronographic situations. Readings from Afrocentric Manifesto and The Afrocentric Idea will be useful as guides for discussion.
